How we work

Four things that are always true.

01 · Strength

We find what's actually there

The starting point is never the deficit. It's the child — who they are, what lights them up, what they can do when someone's paying attention.

02 · Threshold

We work at the crossing

We specialise in the moments when everything changes — and young people need someone who knows how to hold the threshold.

03 · Making

We learn by making real things

Bespoke projects built around each learner's interests. From first reengagement all the way to high-level academic achievement.

04 · Ecosystem

We grow the whole system

The child is never the only one who needs support. We work with families, schools, professionals and authorities to build lasting capacity.

Where to start

Every audience has a door.

For families

Parents & young people

Your child isn't the problem. They just haven't found the right conditions yet. We start with who they are — and build from there.

The pathway

Three stages. Every young person's own pace.

1

Reengagement

Meeting them where they are. Building trust before anything else.

2

Stabilisation

Developing confidence, regulation and real capability through making.

3

Progression

Academic achievement, qualifications, transitions — whatever comes next.

Some young people arrive at stage two or three. We always start where they are.

The origin

This is where
it started.

This work didn't start in a classroom. It started in a small Scottish town, continued in Bosnian refugee camps, and has never stopped being about the same thing — finding what's actually there in a young person, and creating the conditions where it can come out.

One evening at an arts showcase in South London, a boy who had been abandoned twice over stood up in front of an audience and read his poem. His voice held. His family came toward him.

Nobody fixes anybody. You create the space. You find what's there. You build from it.
